Carmelo Gets Standing Ovation from Knicks Fans in Madison Square Garden. Scores Season High 26 in Loss

Carmelo Anthony returned to Madison Square Garden last night and received a much expected standing ovation from the New York crowd. Melo, who is averaging 15.7 ppg in his return season in the NBA, spent 6 1/2 years playing with the Knicks before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the summer of 2017.

His career has been full of ups and downs since his days with the Knicks and Carmelo was out of the league most of last season after being released by the Houston Rockets after just a few games.

Portland Trailblazers finally gave Anthony a chance to return to play in the league, and so far this season he’s been one of their best players in a injury riddled down year for the team.
